Durga Puja in Full Swing in Guwahati Pandals Open
Guwahati: Guwahati’ites are all set to celebrate Durga Puja and Bijaya Dasami with much fervor and enthusiasm and nowhere the sign is more visible than the multitudes of shopping centers and malls across the state capital where people are lining up to buy the latest in the fashion-ware and gadgets.

The door of the puja pandals opened on Saturday morning (Saptami) allowing devotees to get a glimpse of Ma Durga. From Narangi on the eastern end to Jhalukbari at the western outskirt of the city, dozens of pandals, designed after famous national landmarks, opened their door as thousands of eager devotees rushed in to get a glance of the Devi.

Famous artisans from across the nation were seen giving the final touch to the idols of Goddess Durga and other Gods and Goddesses of the Hindu religion. One could see beautifully decorated pandals at the Pandu, Maligaon Railway Colony, Santipur, Athgaon, Guwahati Club, High Court Road, Silpukuri, Chandmari, Bamuni Maidan, Narangi, Sixmile, Khanapara, G.S.Road, Rup Nagar, Jatia, Kahilipara Power House, Barsapara, Baltola Laksmi Mandir, Ganesh Guri, Post Office.. many area celebrate durga puja in Guwahati.

For the next two days, devotees will offer prayers at various pandals and temple
