Guwahati to Become Air Connectivity for Tourist Hub in Northeastern India

Guwahati airport to be hub for promoting tourism in northeastern India

Union Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma saye Central Government Focusing North East states to make an batter air connecitivity hub at Guwahati international airport at an esimated cos of Rs.1200 crore to attrack North Eastern Tourists.

The minister Mahesh Sharma said Rs.484 crore has also been sanctioned for upgrade of Agartala airport in Tripura and Rs.90 crore for Tezu airport in Arunachal Pradesh for batter service.

The tourism ministry also said, working on three projects in Majuli island and Kamakhya temple in Assam and Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh for promoting tourism in the northeast.
